At the RAU HR Conference 2025, our HR Director Yana Vanivska-Savruk spoke on the topic ‘How to overcome the talent shortage in retail?’. One of the main challenges of the market is the shortage of personnel and more than 800 thousand economically inactive people. However, there is a solution: businesses should change their approach to finding and assessing talent, focusing not on age, status or employment record, but on the real skills and potential of candidates.

Another key area is employee training and development. In today’s reality, self-development gives you freedom: new skills allow you to change positions, adapt to changes and remain competitive. Therefore, companies should invest in team training and create conditions for professional growth.

And, of course, the balance between technology and humanity is important. Artificial intelligence should strengthen teams, not replace them. Successful companies combine digital solutions with a personalised approach to employees.
